Bio
Teresa Yeh is a freelance photographer born in the United States and currently based in Boston. She has worked internationally including the US, China, Taiwan, Thailand, Rwanda and Palestine and more. Growing up, she had a passion for fantasy novels and storytelling, which has influenced her photographic style and vision. Her work has been described as "fantastical", "romantic" and "nostalgic." Recently she has also begun a new branch of one-of-a-kind artistic children's portraiture. For rates and more info, please contact her directly at contact@teresayeh.com. Documentary Work While working as a fashion and commercial photographer, Teresa was strongly inspired in 2011 to pursue a new path in photojournalism and documentary work. This decision came after her first trip to Rwanda, where she was moved by the intense adversity yet immediate and real nature of the people's lives. Vulnerability, resilience and the measure of just how strong the human spirit could be gave form in every face, hand and pairs of eyes. Teresa was also greatly moved by other artists who used their mediums to create beauty from the broken, give healing to the wounded, and real hope and joy to a village that thought itself forgotten. She hopes to wield her camera not only to record and witness, but to provoke, express and promote for people without a voice, and reveal individuals from the masses as fully separate and whole human beings we can not only view with compassion but with admiration and aspiration.
