About Teresa

Teresa Yeh, LICSW, a therapist in Cambridge, Massachusetts specializing in intercultural couples, discernment counseling, pain reprocessing therapy, and eco-anxiety.

I believe that wellness is built on the foundation of our connections: to our body, our people, our purpose, and the wider world we share and inhabit. I find profound value in contemplative practice and am drawn to healing modalities that honor the connection between mind, body, spirit, and planet.

Having lived, studied, and worked across multiple countries and cultures, I also understand how identity, culture, migration, systems of power, and environmental realities can shape our inner lives and relationships. As an immigrant and child of immigrants, with lived experience of intercultural relationships and in diverse global communities, I have grappled with the often-unspoken complexities of belonging, home, and identity.

Like many people who eventually find their way to this work, my path to becoming a therapist grew from my own healing journeys. These gave me embodied experiences into how both suffering and joy can lead us toward growth, and how our physical health as well as social relationships, whether familial, romantic, or communal, are essential to our well-being. Alongside my M.S.W. I also pursued an M.A. in Conflict Resolution, mediating in court and co-facilitating restorative justice circles with incarcerated women. In hospitals, community health, college counseling, shelters, and more, I’ve witnessed again and again our human capacity to transform. I truly believe in each person's power to cultivate inner stability, freedom, and joy, and to build an intentional, resilient, and deeply fulfilling life.

Walking the Talk

I believe the most effective healers are those who commit to their own alignment. To me, "walking the talk" means living a life that is balanced, joyful, and deeply rooted in community.

When I am not in the therapy room, you can often find me:

In Motion: Dancing, rock climbing, weight-lifting, and biking.

In Nature: Connecting to joy & awe in the forests, mountains, all and any bodies of natural water, and with all our fellow creatures we share this miraculous planet with!

In Community: Organizing local events, laughing with friends, and showing up for the loved ones who anchor me.

I bring this same vitality, humor, and humanness into our sessions. I am here as a real person, committed to helping you build a foundation of resilience that supports your biggest, most vibrant life.
